Tea Inspection & Quality Control
Polucon Services is renowned in the Kenyan tea industry for its tea quality and quantity inspection services. The services are aimed at facilitating trade especially with the export market.

Quantity inspection involves weighing of tea packages and accurate tallying of packages stuffed in approved containers. On the other hand Quality inspection will include professional sampling using approved methods followed by tests which verify whether the tea meets requirements of the buyer or destination country. We then issue the relevant reports and certificates as per the client/destination country requirements that accompany the tea being exported.

Polucon understands the tea markets’ unique quality requirements and other related barriers set by importing countries.  It is therefore able to offer professional and quality advice to the tea exporters and facilitate smooth trade.

Our international network partnership with reputable inspection companies spanning in over 104 countries worldwide enables us to access and understand the international market. This includes majority of the tea export destination countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas. The reports and certificates issued by the company are acceptable and recognized locally, regionally and internationally by the relevant stakeholders in the industry.

TEA LABORATORY
For the last ten years, Polucon has maintained and continuously developed a laboratory testing facility which is especially dedicated to serving tea producers, exporters and importers in East and Central Africa for all their quality control needs.

The laboratory is now ISO 9001:2000 certified and is recognized by all the relevant industry stakeholders including Ministry of Health, Ministry of Livestock & Fisheries, National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) and Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS).

Polucon laboratory also works in collaboration with the Kenya Plant Health Inspectorate Service (KEPHIS), Radiation Protection Board and other accredited laboratories locally and internationally in accordance to our ISO documented procedures to ensure our clients get quality services.

Currently we are doing quality inspections and issuing certificates and reports for teas destined for Sudan, Egypt, Iran, Sri Lanka, Kazakhstan, United Arab Emirates, China, Japan, Nigeria, Yemen, India, Pakistan, Ukraine, Afghanistan, Russia and Poland among others.
